The June, 2002 issue of Harper's Bazaar proclaims that a tan is one of the season's must-have accessories.

Sun-Tique tanning in Burlington, in addition to offering the traditional stand-up and sunbed tanning machines has a relatively new procedure called Mystic Tan that sprays on golden colour in seconds with no UV rays.

Cheryl Steep is the owner of Sun-Tique. She and 3 friends of all different skin types tried the Mystic Tan in Toronto and was so pleased with the results that she purchased the unit and it is now in full operation in her salon on Walkers Line. She says that it's great for people who can only get so dark even in a tanning bed. It's also the perfect solution for those who have never used or have any intention of using one either. The process is completely safe for those who have concerns about the effects of UV rays.

The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders and Jennifer Aniston also cheat with spray on tans.

Before you enter the tanning booth, the staff at Sun-Tique walk you through the process step by step. A barrier crème is provided that blocks the spray from discolouring your palms and fingernails.

You enter the spacious misting booth and stand on a metal plate so that the polarized solution particles are attracted to your skin, a process trademark as Magnetan Technology. When you enter the tanning booth you will see three nozzles on the wall directly in front of you and a green button that must be pressed to begin the process. Once the button is pressed you are then sprayed evenly with a refreshing mist for only 14 seconds. The spray stops for 10 seconds to allow you to turn around to have the back of your body sprayed. Then you step out and pat dry. An instant glow can be seen and over the next few hours you will have a beautiful golden tan. Your tan should last anywhere from 5 to 7 days.

Although there is no danger of inhaling the solution, asthmatics shouldn't try this without consulting a physician. The new Mystic Tan customers at Sun-Tique are thrilled with their instant tan and are pleased with the attention to detail given by the staff. The original Mist-On tanning technology was invented by a biologist Thomas J. Laughlin who then licensed the rights to a Dallas-based tanning chain. The chain. The chain developed their own system, calling it Mystic Tan and added the Magnetan technology. If you are looking for a quick, golden tan then stop by Sun-Tique and watch the video and try out our new Mystic Tanning booth. Cheryl, Helen, Mary Lee and Dianne will be happy to show you their new Mystic Tanning Booth.
